Consider donating your non-cash inventory to the Michigan
Friends of Education and help make today's readers become tomorrow's success.
What are the Advantages to You?
-
Deductions are limited to 10% of taxable income each
year (excess donations may be carried forward).
-
The purpose of the 170(e)(3) tax law is to provide
a tax incentive to companies wishing to donate usable inventory to
the ill, needy or minors through a nonprofit 501(c)(3).
-
Your donation to the Michigan Friends of Education
will play an important role in your company's efforts to serve important
social needs by enriching the lives of many less fortunate people
while exercising sound business principals.
-
By donating to Michigan Friends of Education, you
will enhance your future sales market because the people we now serve
ARE NOT and WILL NOT be book purchasers in the future unless we help
them develop good reading habits and a love of books. The simple fact
is...Your donation will help make non-readers readers, consumers,
book buyers of tomorrow and raise their earning potential.
-
Because we are a state funded agency, no fees are
charged donors and materials are shipped free to agencies serving
the needy.
-
Your donation to one organization serving over 500
agencies, who in turn provide materials to those who need them the
most, allows you to maximize your donation and minimize the time required
by your staff.
We ask that prior to making a donation your company contact
our office by phone: (734) 498-3003 or 1-800-846-8876, by fax (734) 498-3005,
or by email, with
a description or a title list of the items to be donated.
